Jalgas (Жалғас, Zhalgas) is my name, it means continuation, adjacent. Same technique as in Aroth, but the result is hopefully different. Letters are also stencil, but islands appear when forming a word (e.g. "off"). In progress...

A couple notes about this font:
(1) All the characters in this font are designed to fit into an 8x16 template; (2) The form of the capital Q is accruate to the games, but has been slightly stretched vertically to give the letter more uniformity amongs the other capitals; (3) The accented characters are completely improvised, and do not appear in any of the games; (4) The only currency symbols included are the dollar and yen signs.

I tried out a wide range of experimentation when it came to producing hand rendered work, as I felt I needed to work out what would best capture the general sense of the word.
I tried using inks on elastic bands, attaching pens to a playstation controller and drawing, photographing food colouring over a speaker; all sorts. Finally, I decided I needed something which really reflected the word clearly. I looked at the white noise and the trails that you get on the television, and applied this feel to a sans serif font I had made based on Georgia (minus the Serifs)
One of the most time comsuming things I've ever done, hope its been worth it.
Any comments welcome.

It pays homage to Ralph Steadman and is a true testament to what you can do on fontstruct, if you’re willing to spend a week in front of a computer in your underpants.

It gives you an unexpected kind of FREEDOM creating lines with dots.
This time i doubled the resolution by using 2x2 circles.

Finally your eye can help making curves of any size look complete and entirely smooth!

Then I just doodled some repeating patterns. Then I saw how I can fill the patterns inside the letters. They fit together pretty easily for vertical letters, but diagonals were really tricky. The end product resembled Hawaiian leis draped over each glyph. Very floral. So there you have it. Flowers. For Casey. :)
