Redesigning the pixel font. Built on a 50x30 grid, this masterpiece is a pixel font that is decomposing. Enjoy! Each "pixel" is 10 by 10 grid squares. The idea was from "Metropolis" by ackfla.

Inspired by Neoqueto's LDR MANUFACTURE and Global Village by JoeAllison. Feedback would be beyond nice! --This looks like it's about as done as its getting. I'll probably come back now and then to tweak a few letters and/or look at any suggestions though. And more than likely I'll try to add a few more. Enjoy for now though!--

A "deconstructed" exercise. I got the idea when I fontstructed in a grid that turned out to be a bit narrow. I could only place two of three horizontal lines where I wanted them, so I decided to see what happened if I simply skipped the third. The result turned out to be quite legible even though many glyphs had gaps where the important baseline should be. I especially liked the lower case letters. The concept is presumably not unique though...

A quick font meant to look somewhat like the Puma logo but done without any references... Any suggestions for T? It looks kinda empty in this form.

This is a font that I have designed during the first term of my Graphic Design degree at UWE Bristol. My typeface is based on the word 'decay'. My letters take the form of teeth, these teeth have been decayed and have holes, cracks and rot on the actual tooth and roots. I developed this typeface by researching and taking photographs of rotten and healthy teeth. I then traced and made sketches from them. I then distorted the shapes to make up my type. This typeface could be really good for use in a dental industry for advertising against tooth decay or things like toothpaste etc..

This is my first FontStruction while currently studying graphic design at Bristol UWE. Lots of experimentation solely using paints; quick hand movements and flicks to produce a messy, unrefined effect. Working in less than 1 second for each letter (with real paints), used as reference. Inspired by East Asian calligraphy.

inspired by analysing ques forming, mainly at pubs. In addition to experimention with double sided sticky tape and corrigated card to reflect results found. I think the font has a 'tribal' aesthetic about it consequently, first fonstruction...first year project at UWE... theme chosen was 'order' (work in progress)

For my first fontstruct I started with the word Chaos and worked with the idea of pattern or 'anti-pattern' I looked at artists like Bridget Riley and Josef Muller-Brockman and how I could interpret their kind of work but in a fractured way. I worked with collage before transferring my ideas on to font struct. It is work in progress as I am not happy with it at its current state but am stuck for ideas; every time I alter it it looks worse. Suggestions and ideas are very much appreciated.

This is my first attempt to use fontstruct, which is a project given to me during my first year of studying graphic design at UWE; Bristol. Initially the typeface was inspired by the product of organic decay. I cut out strawberries, apples and tomatoes in the shape of letters and left them to decay on a sheet of paper. When removing them, they left an interesting stained mark on the paper which I used as my basis for the letter forms. Latterly I have used the typeface "Hobo Std" as inspiration because of it's curvaceous body and similarity to the remaining marks of the fruit and vegetables. It is a display font having because of it's better readability on larger sizes. This due to the stained effect as well as the letters are bold.
