After choosing the theme asymmetric my thoughts went straight to the face of odin,because of the eyepatch, and since odin was the one that gave the germanic tribes their characters (according to the mythology) the idea of basing this font on ancient norse runes was born. I really wanted that feel of rough, stone carved feel, straight lines were a priority, plus I really wanted to give it the sensation of eroded and old. The original plan was to make a font based on ancient runes, and I did that here, http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/1067592, howver before I finished that one I wanted a font that was based on ancient runes but that at the same time looked modern, It was with that in mind that this font came into existence.
