PERF is a combination of Upper Case and Unicase/Alternates. The “PERF family” also has several decorative variants that can be layered to achieve different effects. This is the BASE font, and there are 8 others. Collect 'em all!

This is the most important of all Perforane versions. The patterned ones are of less significance, since graphic designers can apply any pattern/texture/effect to a font with a mouse click at will. Still, they look very nice and inviting: I would love to take them for a ride in Photoshop. I really like the thin special characters, as they don't draw to much attention away from the letters and numbers. One minor issue to consider: the capital X need serifs. It appears a bit naked amid its heavily serifed siblings. I would use just half serifs, as on the V.
If you are after making a great font family, an outline version would not be completely out of place. 10/10
This pic shows the origins of this font set. I originally just knocked out the letters I needed for this sign/installation for an art exhibit. I figured I should flesh out the rest of the alphabet, and one thing led to another…
What a great series of photos documenting your process. I love the way you have left the perforated sketchbook edges, cut and folded the paper and pinned it over the door. It looks like a lot of fun, no wonder the font family that developed from this is so good!
Just re-posting samples that were attached to an older version of this font ("Perforane") which is no longer public… I changed many of the characters because they didn't work with the all of the variants in the final "PERF" system.
