The name is kind of "playful" , mixing languages in a weird way
I wanted to indicate where I live ♡ without being precise , and managed to masterfully ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭ disguise a German word, on a phonetic level. ‘Maystar’ as such does have a kind of sense in English, too
This design has been around for a while; it started as a stencil font for writing a series of words/instructions on a wall. I've never used nor shown it as I had/have problems seeing those tiny bricks to get less angular edges on some curves. Despite that limitation I think that in small sizes the glyphs (specially the frames ) look acceptable. Being a display font anything above size 30 on a flyer/poster/sign might require touch-up in an image manipulation program ……

There are stray bricks above and off to the far right of certain letters (I noticed certain words in the “sample text” text suddenly breaking on a new line when there's clearly enough room for them to fit in the rest of that space)
@ BWM: thank you for your help (and for your good eyesight) I hadn't spotted those errors :) Now I've found and deleted those pesky tiny bricks and that large patch (part of the frame slipped (˵ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°˵)? without me looking for it further away…)
I think you could try opening the font in a font editor like Glyphs, FontForge (You may need to go to View > Show > Side Bearings), FontLab, etc.
Click on one of the glyphs, then press Ctrl + [ or Ctrl + ] to scroll through glyphs in the font.
If one of the side bearings displays a large negative value (or the side bearing arrows goes off screen in FontForge), that probably means there's debris far off to either side on that glyph.
@ Bryndan thank you, that's a great idea, will be easy to do👍! I'd love to use ‘Glyphs’… I'll check out the other programs ( • ᴗ - ) ✧
