“isn’t the WQY bitmap song licensed in GPL?” yes, that is true. but if you look at a font that is licensed in GPL, then copying it manually, you can change your font license to any.
however, if you modify a GPL-licensed font that includes ALL the characters from the original font, then your modified font MUST be licensed in GPL.
it is copyleft so it shouldn't be neccessary to put it in GPL?
hold on isn't GPL for computer programs???
message to @Pascual Ángulo: GPL can also be applied for digital fonts.
