I really like the round and friendly feel this font has, but the comma and quotationmarks look a bit dangerous. Someone could poke an eye out. Otherwise nice font.
congrats on the PD and an amazing family here and body of work. you have definitely established yourself and one of the more noteworthy designers working in FS.
p2pnut, your rounded letters are really beautiful. i tried typing the words "really fine" and they are not kerned, if that's the right word, so they expand and contract like an accordion. This is cool!
@larrya: There does seem to be some inconsistency between the downloads of members of this family - very frustrating as I spent ages trying to ensure that they were all the same.
Building rounded letters from tri- or quadrangular bricks is like defying gravity. Well, you've succeeded, at least partially, in a very neat way: RM Playtime looks light and clean, and produces flawless text, at small sizes. This outline version is even more difficult to make than the solid one, for there are many unpleasant curves and nooks in the glyphs to deal with. Congratulations. 10/10
@aphoria: your changes do look a lot better .... you realise that this means I will have to change these characters in all the family now (but it will be worth it)
Xx & Zz changed in all RM Playtime family, thanks a million aphoria for your suggestions ... now I really must get round to doing a l/c for the original :)
@Frodo7: I agree wholeheartedly. One of the things that has struck me most in these past months is the level of support and friendly, constructive, critisism that flows between so many of the regulars here. I know it has helped me immeasurably ... and I try to pass on that support to those who are taking their first steps with FS.
FS is a very rare thing ... a cyber community that doesn't spend most of its time bitching and in-fighting.
@p2pnut: I know what you're talking about. I came from Typophile. In its early days it was a nice place too, but as the community grew, perhaps too fast, the atmosphere has changed: it grew very cold and unpleasant. I seldom visit them, and no longer subject my works to open "critique". Here at FS the situation is somewhat the opposite: most members are so polite, they would never tell me anything negative, even if my works have apparent flaws. That is too bad for the fonts, for they rarely improve after they've been released. Let me seize the opportunity and tell all members who posted critical comments, that I very much appreciated them, and considered their suggestions seriously. And let me encourage the silent multitude of members to comment and rate fonts and engage themselves in building the FS community.

Hope you like the softer version :)
If I may, I'd like to offer a couple suggestions for the X and the Z.
Your originals are on the left, my suggested changes on the right.
